My Weighty Story: Dehydration

UGGG… Dehydration. Bad.

One of my medications has a tendency to make me a little dehydrated and as such I make sure to keep my fluids up. I tend to go by the rule of taking your weight, divide it in half, then have that many ounces of water a day. For me that equates to about 110 ounces a day. (Yes, I did just tell you that I currently weigh about 220.)

Yesterday, was such a stressful, strange day, that well, lets just say that I forgot to drink the proper amount of water yesterday, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t get the right amount the day before either.

Why am I so sure?

Because this morning I woke up with a horrible headache.

Add that to how cotton mouthed I am, and how tight my hands and muscles feel, and based on pasted experiences, DEHYDRATION.

I repeat. DEHYDRATION BAD.

I got up this morning and immediately chugged two glasses of water which helped the tightness in my hands and some of the stiffness of my legs (I think what is left is because of my walk last night).

So here is your reminder to make sure to drink enough fluids.

OH! and I lost a pound this week, even WITH all the stress! /happy dance.

Now where is my water bottle. I know I put it around here somewhere.
