The Editing Blahs…. or not.

Yup. There is a whole bunch of red ink there.

I’m working on another round of editing for the first book, The Five Angels. I initially wrote The Five Angels a few years ago, and did a number of edits on it then, but due to other life distractions, The Five Angels sat for a couple of years. Well, about October, I started re-reading, editing, and working on it again.

Then NaNoWriMo came through in November, and I wrote the second book in the trilogy. I thought I would start editing that one right away, but when I started in on it, I wasn’t making any progress on it, so jumped back to TFA. Well the first round went quite well and there were a lot of “inconsistencies” that I was able to clear up between B1 and B2.

Now, I’m on another round of edits, and I have to admit. It feels good to be back so deep into this again. As I mentioned earlier this week, I love Nalrin. It’s one of my happy places, and even though it is a lot of work to get this mush of words into a beautiful manuscript, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

So, what is The Five Angels about?

What would you do if you found out that your whole life was a lie, your dreams are really a gift, you aren’t really human, and finally, you found out it is your job to stop your parents, who were supposed to have died a year ago, from destroying a world you only just found out existed? Well, that is EXACTLY what Megan Keller is having to do. Those dreams she has? They always tend to come true. She had dreamed of her brothers death before it came, of conversations before they happened, and so much more, but she never dreamed suddenly being teleported to a whole new dimension where she meets family she never knew she had, has an inner power that is stronger than any other Sangra in modern history, oh yea, then there is that problem with her parents, again, who are supposed to be dead. The question is, can she save all of Nalrin and more importantly  the man she loves?

I hope to be able to get it submit worthy in the next couple of months, and hopefully be able to find an Agent who will take a chance on this blonde on the bay and help introduce the world of Nalrin to the Manusia. Oh I’m sorry, I mean this world.  🙂

( Not only does this fall into an update on how my writing is going, but it just so happens that it applies to todays Daily Prompt. )
