NaNoWriMo: What day is it now? 7?

I’m obsessed. Yea… That’s it. I’m obsessed!

All my mind thinks about is Megan, CJ, Wedding design, wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses,  Ansel’s evilness, what is the story of the Ash’bani? and let’s not forget, how it all ties together. ( oh is that spoiler alert? Well I guess it wouldn’t be if you had read the first book. )

It’s a little after 6:00 PST and I’m just getting back to the book for the evening. I’m sitting pretty for making the 50,000 word goal for the month. That isn’t my problem. My problem is that I’m obsessed.

I’m not sleeping well because I wake up thinking of all kinds of things that need to be included, and dialog between characters, etc. For instance, I woke up this morning and thought, why isn’t Clarice excited about shopping for the wedding dress? In fact she has no dialog or presence in the dress shop at ALL!? WHY?! Then I laid in bed and figured it all out.

It’s not all dialog though… I’m even dreaming of the scene I wrote where a character dies. I mean… who does that? PLEASE TELL ME I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO DOES THIS?! PLEASE OH PLEASE!

Anyways, I’m rocking word counts as far as staying on pace for the 50K words, but one thing is for sure, the story won’t be done done by 50K words, I’ll be lucky to keep it under 100K by the time its done!

One thing is for sure though, this is all consuming and the best part ( or the bad thing depending on your perspective ) … I LOVE IT!

  1. You’re definitely not alone when it comes to dreaming about scenes from your book! I’m glad I’m not the only one. I catch myself daydreaming about upcoming scenes a lot. I guess this is helpful… a little obsessive but helpful haha!

So whatcha thinking?
